STATEMENT

My work translates the natural world into a visual language of constructed abstract forms. Drawing on a personal sense of landscape, I use geometric systems to reorganize space into distinct, internal topographies. The forms in my paintings and sculptures function as an interconnected, unified system. A primary focus is on the mechanics of these arrangements, specifically how they occupy space, maintain a physical dialogue, and use color to create both quiet harmony and visual friction. This practice is informed by an intentional balance between natural structures and abstract methods, allowing me to translate the physical world into complex visual arrangements.
